The art of drum making is a ceremony. It is an initiation into embodying the voice we are given and thevoice of Mother Earth.

It has a life of its own and delivers unique lessons, messages and challenges for each person. It is a riteof passage into the self that is calling us. It is reclamation of our destiny as we step into the unfoldingof our own great story.

This offering is for those who hear the call of the drum; who long to connect with the Earth and be achannel for the Divine; who have a heart for healing; who simply desire to sing and drum more; and forthose who know it is time to activate the voice.

Drumming and singing is the most ancient technology to achieve states of high consciousness wheredeep healing and transformation happens, wisdom is received and life force replenished.

For me this ceremony is inseparable from our unique song. It is all about being a channel for our voiceto fulfill its purpose - expressing the divine we are made of. It is to remember our birthright - ourundeniable belonging to this Earth and to honor her will for us.

In this all day workshop we will hold a ceremony where we craft our medicine drums with intentionand reverence to the process of giving and attaining new life after death. In our safe container we willcreate beauty, listen to what wants to come through us and weave our prayers and voices together. 

At the end of our full day ceremony, we will take our cherished drums home with us, and commit to thepractice of intentionally communing with the elemental forces in the context of channeling divinemusic.

Bio:

Sema Rae is a singer-songwriter, drum maker and teacher from Turkey. Deeply inspired by devotionalmusic from all cultures across the globe and influenced by her background in frequency healing, sheweaves healing sounds, channeled mantras and medicine songs with stories of her honest journeythrough life.

Sema’s first single ‘SitaRam’ was released earlier this year in collaboration with her fiancé NoahProudfoot anchoring the codes of divine union and harmony. 

Through transformational events, retreats and workshops, she teaches vocal empowerment, holdscontainers of authentic expression and gives the gift of song.

The animal, plant, and fungi allies, along with the elements are her greatest teachers that she receiveswisdom from how of to live a wholesome integrated life. The music is the pathway hOme. All of thepure aspects of Pachamama - all of our relations, inspire the teachings she aims to spread of harmonicliving. 

The teachings of the sacredness of death and rebirth, the sacredness of the cycle and circle of life andof honoring all of life with respect are present in her prayers and walk of life. Her songs are a prayer torestore and reweave the web of life , to help us return to a life of reciprocity, humbleness and innerwholeness.
