Sema invites you for an evening of heart space, harmony and divine connection.

Cacao is a safe and gentle plant medicine ally. Long before the advent of commercial chocolate, cacao seeds were prepared as a ceremonial drink within the indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica. When honored in ceremony, cacao acts as a gentle, yet powerful, assistant to stimulate the pineal gland and open the heart. Reclaiming chocolate as medicine, while sitting together with sacred intention, is a powerful way to increase sensitivity to subtle energies, integrate unresolved experiences and emotions, and facilitate connection.

This is a non-traditional ceremony where we sit in the company of our reflected truths, and employ some ancient tools: breath and voice. The potential for purification, transformation and integration is endless when it comes to utilizing our inbuilt alignment system. Working with the voice in this sacred context grants new life and by the end of our practice, we feel it in every aspect of our being. We are vibrant, aligned and glowing; our energy is flowing.

Weaving our voices in a great tapestry is a most wonderful prayer form and this evening is for everyone regardless of our experience with cacao or singing.

In this workshop we explore our inherent superpower - the voice.

The journey we embark on starts with the breath and takes us all the way to our limitless potential. We will experience the healing ability of this in-built musical instrument we all have - our voice; and discover how to utilize sound as a tool to remember our oneness with all.

This is an invitation into exploration and experience of “Shabda Brahma” - the Word that is Creator.

There will be some asana, breathwork and chanting - bija (seed) syllables and mantras during the class. No prior experience is necessary.

The art of drum making is a ceremony. It has a life of its own and delivers unique lessons, messages and challenges for each person. It is an initiation into the embodiment of an intention.

 This offering is for those who have been feeling the call of the drum; who long to connect to their own voice and the voice of their ancestors; who have healing work to do around lineage, Earth connection, and silencing; who simply desire to channel, sing and drum more; and for those who are undergoing voice activation.

We will arrive at 8AM to open our container with a ceremony and jump into the workshop by 9. We have a lunch break after we weave our drums. Then we will beautify and bless them and make our drum sticks which are the masculine counterparts to our feminine instruments. We will conclude with closing our circle and take our cherished drums home with us.

All drum materials are provided.  Please have breakfast before arriving, we are going to need strength!

Items to bring:

• a towel you do not mind getting dirty

• large hole beads if you have a specific crystal you want to work with (not necessary - I will have a selection to choose from)

• lunch and snacks (we will have light snacks but feel free to bring whatever else you would like to eat)

• whatever else you might need to be comfortable for the whole day

The newly engaged duo is excited to bring their gifts of song and spirit once again- beginning the night with a cacao ceremony to open hearts and connect the group. To round out the night- Noah will be DJing a 'Bhakti Bass' ecstatic dance wave - a mix of world music and tribal bass.
